Description

Peppered with a digitally crushed layer of effects throughout its course, Audio Venture Corp's 代替仮想世界 alternates between styles of signalwave at will, using the artificially sunned-out feel of the manipulated quality of sound to create something almost ethereal in its presentation. Sounds that are somehow out of reach yet present in the mind, given a form that feels not entirely physical.

Voiceovers appear over top tracks on occasion, though sometimes they are integrated to repeat within the loops that they are a part of, making it difficult to tell which tracks contained dialogue which was naturally occurring within its audio and which were meticulously laid by the artist themself. Effects applied to the voices make them more difficult to discern as well, adding to the far-away feeling that the album consistently evokes.

As a piece of the ever growing genre of signalwave, 代替仮想世界 has a lot to offer in how it approaches the sound in a short burst of time, expressing ideas only for as long as they need to be seen before showing off the next one.
