Classic Shades (referred to as Classic Shades EP) is an EP by General Translator, originally meant as a set of bonus tracks for the physical release of The Powers of Persuasion. The EP was set to be the final General Translator release (the artist planning to experiment with releases under different aliases soon after publishing.) After the release the artist underwent a 2+-year hiatus of General Translator until the release of OPERATION ETERNAL ECSTACY.

Description

Originally intended to be a secret release through the cassette release of The Powers of Persuasion, I decided I liked this way too much to not release it generally. A short collection of tracks, in the vein of the newest album with a splash of Amorotica's emotivity. This is more than likely one of my favorite releases, despite the brevity. It is also the last true General Translator release you will ever see.

My inspiration, while eternally in my goddess Amorotica, must now be better expressed in different products, in areas beyond the scope of General Translator. It has been a fun two years for us all, but now the free trial has expired and unfortunately, this product has been discontinued. Thank you for your support, and follow amorotica.tumblr.com for more details (or hints) as to what lies on the horizon.

to a world of too hot tea
and cold, dusty feet."
