'''''Personal Therapy of Foreign Affair, from False Acquaintances''''' is the second studio album by Texan plunderphonics producer [[Departure (artist)|Departure]], by Flight Takeoff Records. The album was infamous for being recorded in under a week despite it receiving the best praise out of Departure's releases, and its mastering was handled by High Life, a fellow plunderphonics/vaporwave producer best known as a fellow member of plunderphonics group Homebound Kid.
The album debuted at #4 on Rate Your Music's Esoteric Albums chart,  & maintained critical success outside of Departure's target audience. To this day, it stands as Departure's highest-praised release, and marked a new era of quality for Departure's overall production. It has also been noted for its experimental qualities, including its title naming, which splits up the 13-track release into "movements", and those movements into "acts". The album has 4 movements total, which all movements except for Movement I having 3 Acts, where Movement I has 4 Acts.
Its album cover, designed by Departure, has been noted for its simplicity in comparison to other covers of releases produced by Departure in the past, to which multiple people pointed out the gold-colored parallelogram over the red background is very reminiscent of the Bandcamp logo. Departure, however, has clarified that it is pure coincidence, and that the two parallelograms are not correlated to each  other.
