t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 is best known as a 1/2 of 2814 duo and for his contributions to several scenes, including vaporwave. Having been producing music as early as 2012, the music producer's early accomplishments came through in late 2013, when the artist rebranded himself as t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者. Despite most of the artist's work being predominantly vaporwave, the discography spans across various genres. Although the bigger part of t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者's music catalogue consists of mostly chopped & screwed atmospheric pop music, he has experimented with various techniques and practices, some of which made incredible albums in the producer's discography. Three releases in particular, ''ロストエデンへのパス'', ''現実を超えて (Genjitsu o koete)'' and ''夜遊び'' have gathered a lot of attention for the artist's individual work and have shown the best of t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者's earlier raw sound. The biggest success, though, was t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者's collaboration with [[HKE]] on the 2814 project, which saw both of the musicians coming together to produce one of the most influential and widely renowned vaporwave & ambient releases.

The artists like t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 are of the new age, bringing something new to music. t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 has envoked hard feelings in his listeners, as it can be seen from amassed fascination with the musician and the digital art, portraying humanly surroundings & scenarios in often nostalgic and sometimes surreal light through recycled pop & self-made ambient compositions. Although, not the same can be said about the recent Luke's sound, which saw the transition to much more pop-ish straightforward synth music, which led to disappointment of some devotees, due to the lack of proper substance and the absence of the same warm feeling t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 had in his earlier efforts. As subjective an individual's listen can be, most of the feedback shared a similiar trait: experience of detaching yourself from the reality you're positioned in and delving into places/abstract thought processes, essentially calming and absent of real life grief; a state of leaving real life worries for some time and entering a tranquil relaxed mindset, which tours the person towards open-space thinking, while also possibly indulging yourself in nostalgic throwbacks through familiar sounds of the sampled music.
While Laurila has worked under other names outside of the vaporwave scene from as early as 2011 (as ''Scintillation!'', specifically), the t e l e p a t h project began in 2013 and quickly became an object of fascination and praise in the scene. From the alias's perception, t e l e p a t h has been meant as an anonymous, mysterious and even alien project in its presentation, including the artist later experimenting with massive track lengths and more cryptic presentations of albums. Since the project's inception, the focus of the artist has shifted from more classic-style works, to experimental longform vaporwave (leading into the inception of the ''slushwave'' genre tag), and currently a more synthwave-resemblant approach with original instrumentation. The artist made a first official public appearance in 2019, using a customized costume to obscure their face and body, retaining their "transcendental" presentation in their musical project.

Virtual Dream Plaza is the side project of t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者. It is one of the most ambitious t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 side projects, totalling in about 16 hours. Although there's not a strict particular narrative, the whole project seems to be a travel of sorts, with each album resembling a location/stream of consciousness/path that the listener voluntarily goes through for new experiences. 仮想夢プラザ seems to be the crossroads between all the other places & thoughts that other VDP releases lead into, since the album cover depicts a literal plaza and is essentially a compilation of different ethereal tracks, about 30 minutes each.
