t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 (aka Luke Laurila) is an American electronic music producer and an artist, based in Ohio.
t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 is best known as a 1/2 of 2814 duo and for his contributions to several scenes, including vaporwave. Having been producing music as early as 2012, the music producer's early accomplishments came through in late 2013, when the artist rebranded himself as t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者. Despite most of the artist's work being predominantly vaporwave, the discography spans across various genres. Although the bigger part of t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者's music catalogue consists of mostly chopped & screwed atmospheric pop music, he has experimented with various techniques and practices, some of which made incredible albums in the producer's discography. Three releases in particular, ロストエデンへのパス, 現実を超えて (Genjitsu o koete) and 夜遊び have gathered a lot of attention for the artist's individual work and have shown the best of t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者's earlier raw sound. The biggest success, though, was t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者's collaboration with HKE on the 2814 project, which saw both of the musicians coming together to produce one of the most influential and widely renowned vaporwave & ambient releases.
The artists like t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 are of the new age, bringing something new to music. t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 has envoked hard feelings in his listeners, as it can be seen from amassed fascination with the musician and the digital art, portraying humanly surroundings & scenarios in often nostalgic and sometimes surreal light through recycled pop & self-made ambient compositions. While being relatively unknown to the much larger audience of music listeners, t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 has reached the unique music scene the vaporwave music scene is and took part in developing the particular sound of classic hypnagogic vaporwave, which is mostly what he is accredited for, making t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 on his own one of the most important vaporwave artists. He took it further by drawing inspiration from various sources, including cyberpunk media. The vivid fascination with seeings of foretold future turned into one of many series of experiments the artist had, which would later be one of the key lead-ups to the ultimate crossroads project in the musician's discography that is 2814.
The artist has mostly preserved anonymity through many means, including obscuring his projects & hiding his face during performance, as seen in footage of t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者's Electronicon live set. It plays big part in his music as many first-comers and amateur listeners have barely any information to go by, having to refer to 't e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者's music.

Virtual Dream Plaza
Virtual Dream Plaza is the side project of t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者. It is one of the most ambitious t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 side projects, totalling in about 16 hours. Although there's not a strict particular narrative, the whole project seems to be a travel of sorts, with each album resembling a location/stream of consciousness/path that the listener voluntarily goes through for new experiences. 仮想夢プラザ seems to be the crossroads between all the other places & thoughts that other VDP releases lead into, since the album cover depicts a literal plaza and is essentially a compilation of different ethereal tracks, about 30 minutes each.
