The album was first announced on January 19, 2012 (then simply titled '''#SEO'''), along with [[UNDERWATER MIRAGE]] and [[NHK REMINDS YOU TO BOOST YOUR SIGNAL]]. It can be seen as an evolution to the sound of [[WEBINAR]], though it has never been outright stated that the two albums are related beyond the phrase "THE NEW WEBINAR" being used upon release. The album is formally titled '''REDEFINING THE WORKPLACE #Y2K12PRADACARTEL''', although it is rarely referred to as such.<br><br>

Before REDEFINING THE WORDPLACE was released, Robin announced that they would "release the 3-4 remaining internet club releases i’ve completed then pull the plug on the project as a whole". At the time, this most likely referred to this album, [[NHK REMINDS YOU TO BOOST YOUR SIGNAL]], [[DITHER]], and [[I C Q]]; however this plan never came to fruition.
