(if you look in the wayback machine, the album wasnt made public on the bandcamp until august 2012. jono also never promoted it on twitter until it was released on orange milk. i believe the october 2011 date was just when the album was CREATED on the bandcamp page, with tracks regularly added to it until 2012)
