Hidden behind a layer of deliberate visual kitsch, this album by 骨粗鬆症 employs a style of vapor that listeners will find themselves just as familiar with as these cover tropes. Long, involved pieces of cuts, loops, reverberation, and more lead the way for a focus on mastery of the base elements. In this way, the artist has focused on making something to draw in existing fans of this style with their high quality of production.
Each piece courts a well-explored sect of sample from vaporwave's past and recontextualizes it within this well-honed approach, bringing together elements of mallsoft and classic vapor into something new from older ideas in their respective genres. By embracing what has outwardly become the visual and sonic face of vaporwave and working with it from the inside, 骨粗鬆症 has found a way to enhance these elements in the decade proceeding them.
