Descent Into Madness is an album by sweetheart's paradise ltd.. The album was originally released in 2016 under the name descent.wav, which was later removed from the artist's Bandcamp page. The album would later be remastered and re-released under the name Into Madness.wav, featuring new artwork and retooled tracks. This version was also later removed.

In 2018, the album was reworked once more and released under its current name, where it was first published on cassette through the media imprint CANVAS. This version was later uploaded to the artist's Bandcamp, including bonus tracks that teased an upcoming project.

re-edit of descent.wav, originally released on february 29th, 2016. retooled between march 2017 and august 2017. further re-invisioned for cassette in late 2018.

before making chillwave and psychedelic synth music as VCRSLOT, i used to spend my time making vaporwave stuff in audacity and later ableton. started out ironically as a bet between some irl friends of mine and it blossomed into an entire thing for me. revisiting this album, i still have a soft spot for it and what i ended up accomplishing with it. tooling with vaporwave stuff helped me get a grip on how to use samples in my music, which is *very* helpful as a beatmaker and house musician in the present. of all my vapor stuff that's out now, this is absolutely my favorite, despite it still being pretty rough here and there. i hope all of you enjoy listening to it as much as i enjoyed making it.
