Eco Virtual
Eco Virtual is Driscoll's sample based side project, which focuses on classic style vaporwave and occasionally broken transmission. The project's releases primarily revolve around an educational, weather-technology-based aesthetic, as self-branded "Atmospheric Research & Analysis Music". The project is best known for the ATMOSPHERES series of albums. The identity of the project was previously kept vague, though certain aesthetic similarities and a close association to the "Hologram Bay" project has led some to believe it is a sister project of Blank Banshee, if not simply an association. This speculation was allegedly confirmed on October 9th, 2023 when Driscoll apparently confirmed this during a live performance.[1] It was later directly confirmed on December 30th, 2023 following a published interview with Driscoll.[2]
With the release of ATMOSPHERES 第4, the project has undergone an extended hiatus, though in 2017 a brief period of activity including tweets and a Facebook livestream occurred. In the 2023 interview, Driscoll mentioned that he did not have further plans for the Eco Virtual project, but was open to future side projects.[3]

- ↑ "Eco Virtual, yes. That was a side project that I started in 2013, again, after I had moved to the West Coast from the East Coast, and I think I was missing home. I was feeling sort of homesick and I was sort of remembering my childhood watching the Weather Channel. There’s not much of a winter out there on the West Coast, not like we get over here on the East, so I was feeling nostalgic and I kind of thought it would be cool to make a project that sort of references the music that you would hear on the Weather Channel. Up in Canada it’s the Weather Network. That was where it started, again, it was just something for me, just for fun. I had no intention to make that an actual thing, but people enjoyed it, so I kept it up for a while. Again, that’s a very low-stakes, no pressure sort of thing and those songs were very fun and easy to put together, and it was just a fun project."
- ↑ "In regard to Eco Virtual, I think I’ve sort of done all that I want to. I don’t think I’ve got anything left to contribute to Eco Virtual. I mean, honestly I haven’t thought about side projects in the future, but I can see it happening, for sure. It could definitely happen."
