Description

SOCECO is a collaborative project between the artists most well known as Hantasi and Octa.

Started in late 2015, one of Hantasi's many passion projects, SOCECO originally started as a longform vaporwave ambient project, although in 2016, with the addition of Octa to the group, SOCECO's music evolved to dreamlike ambient drone music sure to give you lucid dreams after you reach the final second of the album.

Hantasi, most notably known for pioneering the vaporwave sub-genre, Mallsoft in 2012, then later ascending to create a new, unique genre that he would use throughout the bulk of his projects, Netband. Netband is only explainable in music and the signature sound is used in 2016's Dream Catalogue release, "Pipes" and most recently, "CA S  T LE" on Bedlam Tapes.

Octa, known for not one, but hundreds of aliases to express music through, has been producing in the scene since 2015 and is most notably known for the final Nirvana Port release, "bleak" by cold and "aquatic sketchbook" by defunct on Tetra Systems. Having released on aurawire earlier in the year as their "pure light" alias, Octa returns with a breathtaking ambient collab on "Heaven".

After last year's "Light/Dark", "Heaven" will convey a more euphoric experience than the latter. While being more energetic, it still remains that you could fall asleep while listening to it. From the first track "Vacant Places - Sewers of Time - Dreams In A Sea of Light" to the last track, "Cleansing - Spirit - Last Words - Ending", you are sure to find inner peace while listening.
