CONTEMPORARY is an album by General Translator. It was first published on cassette through Tinnitus Records in 2013, and was later repressed through Bedlam Tapes in 2016.

On February 10th 2022, the album was remastered and updated on the artist's Bandcamp page. In 2024, the album was published on vinyl through the experimental online label Sweet Chunk.

Notes

• The track VSJRP(DATE).wav had it's name changed to VSJRP(24-6-1991).wav in 2022. Interestingly, this appears to be the only track to not be remastered.
  • This is the only track to have a notable title change, though Excellent Flight. Class was also changed to Excellent. Flight. Class.

Description

"but in strict regard to vaporwave, i think that kind of coverage encourages people to over-intellectualize it, which in turn makes the people behind it appear unjustifiably pretentious (and in turn, completely moronic) given the type of music we specialize in. how much context can you really give to a doctored loop of a jazz instrumental? truly guys, we are sample curators at best.
