Description

t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 is an entity that is no stranger to Dream Catalogue fans, and this reissue of his 2015 self-released album 一緒に別の夜 on a super limited 100 cassette run will be one that fans snap up with haste.

But in a year where the artist released somewhere in the region of fifty albums (if you count his Virtual Dream Plaza project as individual albums), this one stood out as being something different and even more mysterious than his usual output. It is a two track album, with both tracks clocking in at the exact same time of 44 minutes and 44 seconds, and was released with tags such as ‘fear’ and ‘water’ – but why?

Evidently, Telepath is trying to communicate something much deeper to his now-huge audience, and playing with numbers and hidden messages is all part and parcel of the mystery that his fans have come to expect. The number 31 appeared throughout the Virtual Dream Plaza, so what is the significance of the number 44?

This album is one that had to get out on cassette, and at the eleventh hour we were able to organise finally bringing this previously digital-only release onto the physical format that complements his music
the most.
