Intercontinental is a split release between luxury elite and SYLLABUS, published by Dream Catalogue. Sometime in early 2016, SYLLABUS's side was removed from the album by request of the artist. The entire album was later removed following a purge from the label.

In 2022, SYLLABUS re-released their side of the album on their Bandcamp page. The re-release has been remastered after the original project files were recovered, and additional unreleased tracks were included. Later the same year, the original split album (using SYLLABUS's remastered tracks) was published on cassette through Tiger Blood Tapes, which included one bonus track.

Description

lux' liner notes:
Intercontinental was made at an interesting time in the Lux realm, when I was focused on making things more fun and less serious, and the carefree outlook I'd had really shone through on my side. Some of the titles were also heavily inspired by Television Archives, which I'd done shortly before working on Intercontinental, fun fact! Telecable, in particular, was actually a long gone, very dead television provider in my area. All that was left of the empty, abandoned building was the sign, which disappeared many years ago. Wish I would have had a way to nab it before it was gone. One of my most vivid memories of this was listening to SYLLABUS' side while doing one of my daily walks, right before we released the album, and thinking, "Goddamn, this is going to be a killer release," and it truly was! Very excited to have it see the light of day in cassette format. Thank you to all of you who purchase it, thank you to Hans for doing such an excellent job on the cassette, thank you to Tiger Blood Tapes for releasing it on tape, thank you to Dream Catalogue for originally releasing it, and thank you to SYLLABUS for being a killer collaborator. xoxo!

SYLLABUS' liner notes:
"My original ideas for my side of Intercontinental were "for it to sound like something one would hear/ see in a spam email, part for it to evoke feelings of being stranded in an abandoned mall with no exit in sight, and part of it to have an undertone of the emotional states gone through during its inception." (Taken from an email I sent to Dream Catalogue back in May 2014). I had initially intended for it to be a solo release, but noticed that Lux hadn't released anything on DC yet, and thought it would be fun to do an album together for the label. MARBLE VISIONS and FLORIDA LOW were among the first tracks to be produced for my side, with MARBLE VISIONS being premiered during my Neon Nights guest mix. It's hard to believe it's been nearly 8 years since it was released. The album was put together with love by both of us, and I hope that you love experiencing it again. Thank you so much to Lux, everyone involved with the production of this tape, and to those who have supported us over the years."
